Living in a picturesque village near Rome with her large family, many animals and a huge garden Rosina Wachtmeister is always getting inspired by her surroundings.


Born in Vienna in 1939 and grown up at the Austrian Lake. Rosina Wachtmeister emigrated to Brazil with her family at the age of 14. There she studied fine arts, sculpture and stage design. Her first great love led the young artist to Italy where she still lives today in Capena, a medieval village north of Rome. The colourful facets of her life are mirrored unambiguously in all her pieces of art. She has been working as a designer for Goebel since 1998.


Besides the cat figurines the Rosina Wachtmeister range also includes teddies and owls made of porcelain, cups and plates for the well-laid table, jewellery and many decorative lifestyle accessories, pictures and postcards.


Her art is developed from animals and landscapes and from moments of happiness.
