Ken Messom
Ken Messom was born in the working class district of St. Anns in Nottingham and has been painting and drawing for as long as he can remember!
Even at ten years old he was selling pencil drawings of knights in armour to his schoolmates.
Ken Messom has illustrated several books on wildlife - which is one of his passions - and his artwork has been exhibited in galleries throughout the country - including The Royal Academy in London.
In 2002, Ken Messom published his first set of cat and dog portrait greetings cards; there are now forty designs that are much in demand both here and abroad.
Ken Messom has recently moved to Ireland living in a cottage on the edge of the sea, where he fishes for salmon and continues to paint - amongst other things - a range of coastal landscapes.
Now, together with his son Tim, they have launched a series of fine art prints, greetings cards and other stationary.
